How to clean a rusty pan

How to turn a rusty pan back to resemble its brand-new state.

1.      Use about 1 – 2 handfuls of sand mixed with ashes.
2.      Put onto the rusty pan.
3.      Then, heat on a stove top (no water needed) and keep stirring about 20 – 30 minutes.
4.      Afterwards, scrub the pan with a sponge and washing detergent.
5.      Rinse with water once more.  The pan should look as spotless as new.
